LERC clarifies: No intention to takeover LEC

The attention of the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) has been drawn to an October 25, 2019 story carried in the online edition of the FrontPage Africa Newspaper which stated in its headline that “Liberia Electricity Corporation Soon to Be Taken Over by Regulator”. The story claims that “the challenges facing the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) may soon lead it to be managed by an electricity sector regulator—the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC)”.
